Art Inspired by Van Gogh! | Ages 5–12

Spend a Saturday morning creating art inspired by one of the most recognizable artists in art history: Vincent van Gogh!

In this class, we’ll take a closer look at Van Gogh’s artwork and talk about the elements that make his style so unique, especially his bold use of color, texture, and expressive lines. Students will learn a little about the artist before experimenting with these ideas in their own artwork.

Our featured project will be a Van Gogh-inspired sunflower created with oil pastels. Students will have the opportunity to explore color, texture, and line while creating something completely their own.

We’ll also have a story, games, and plenty of time to create and enjoy a relaxed Saturday morning in the studio.

No prior art experience is needed, and all supplies are provided!
