About the event
Step into the world of mystery, clues, and discovery! In this hands-on forensic science camp, young detectives will learn how scientists use observation, evidence, and reasoning to solve real-world problems.
Throughout the week, students will explore beginner-friendly forensic science concepts including fingerprint analysis, chromatography, pattern recognition, observation skills, and simple scientific testing. Each activity is designed to build critical thinking while helping students practice careful observation and logical reasoning in a fun, age-appropriate way.
Campers will participate in exciting investigative activities such as analyzing fingerprints, separating colors through chromatography experiments, examining clues, and recording observations to solve simple “cases.” Students will work together to gather evidence, make predictions, and draw conclusions just like real forensic scientists.
This camp also includes a special guest speaker presentation from a local law enforcement officer, giving students a real-world look at how forensic science is used in investigative careers.
