About the event
This focused studio art intensive is designed for teens who want to seriously strengthen their drawing skills while developing confidence, discipline, and creative independence. Whether students are beginners or already have experience, this course provides structured instruction to help them grow at their own pace in a supportive studio environment.
Throughout the week, students will build a strong foundation in key drawing concepts including proportion, shading, perspective, composition, form, spatial relationships, and observational drawing. Lessons are taught through step-by-step demonstrations, guided exercises, and individualized feedback to support skill development and artistic growth.
Students will practice a variety of essential techniques, including realistic shading and value development, smooth blending, cross-hatching and texture work, perspective drawing, line quality and confident mark-making, and light and shadow rendering. They will also complete observational drawings from still life and reference setups to strengthen accuracy and attention to detail.
