Service Description

Mauch Art Studio Drama Program offers structured, semester-based theatre classes for children focused on acting, storytelling, and live performance skills. These programs are designed to build confidence, creativity, and collaboration through guided instruction and progressive rehearsal work. Students meet weekly in scheduled class sessions where they participate in instructor-led activities such as acting exercises, character development, voice projection, movement, line memorization, and stage preparation. Each class builds skills over time through structured practice, rehearsal, and ensemble collaboration. Throughout the semester, students are assigned roles in a scripted production, learn their lines, and rehearse scenes together as a cast. The focus is on both individual growth and teamwork as students work toward a shared final performance. At the end of the semester, students present a live production for friends and family, showcasing their learning, confidence, and performance skills on stage. Current Semester Productions: Tuesday Session (5:00–6:00 PM) Little Red Riding Hood — a foundational drama class focused on storytelling, character development, and performance basics through a familiar children’s tale. Monday Session (10:00–11:00 AM) The Enchanted Bookshop (Pioneer Drama) — a scripted ensemble production where literary characters come to life, emphasizing dialogue, collaboration, and stage performance. A full-semester enrollment commitment is required for participation in each production. Due to the collaborative and progressive nature of rehearsal-based theatre, consistent attendance is essential for both individual student success and the success of the final performance.
