Kitchen Chemistry Camp (STEM) (Ages 5–11)

Campers will explore the science hidden inside foods they know and love, learning how simple ingredients transform when mixed, heated, cooled, or combined in creative ways. Through playful experimentation, junior chemists will uncover what makes recipes and reactions work.

Each day is filled with hands-on investigations that encourage campers to make predictions, observe results, and celebrate surprising discoveries. We explore concepts like reactions, textures, and the properties of ingredients in ways that feel approachable and exciting. Activities are kitchen-safe and age-appropriate, designed to build understanding through exploration rather than memorization.

Campers will learn how science connects to everyday life, discovering why mixtures change, how heat affects ingredients, and what happens when substances interact. These experiments foster critical thinking and problem-solving as children compare results, ask questions, and develop confidence in their ability to explore scientific ideas.
