About the event
In this camp, artists will blend creativity with the natural world as they explore how plants, animals, weather, and landscapes inspire meaningful artwork. Throughout the week, we’ll focus on careful observation and curiosity, learning how to notice details in nature and translate them into creative expression.
Campers will study a variety of natural subjects, including plant life, animals, and outdoor environments, while building foundational art skills. We’ll explore different artistic techniques and experiment with a range of mediums such as drawing, painting, printmaking, and mixed media. Along the way, artists will learn about color theory, the elements and principles of art, composition, and how to create strong, balanced artwork.
We’ll also look at well-known artists and famous artworks inspired by nature, discussing how different artists interpret the world around them and discovering new ways to approach our own creations.
Each day will include a combination of guided instruction and imaginative…
