About the event

In this camp, artists will step into the world where creativity and science collide. Throughout the week, we’ll explore exciting scientific themes and discoveries while using art as a way to observe, experiment, and bring big ideas to life.

Campers will dive into hands-on scientific concepts such as chemical reactions, light and color, simple physics, nature patterns, and creative problem-solving. Through age-appropriate experiments and demonstrations, artists will see how science and art connect, from color mixing reactions and texture experiments to exploring movement, balance, and design.

As we create, campers will build strong foundational art skills while experimenting with a variety of mediums including drawing, painting, printmaking, and mixed media. Along the way, we’ll learn about color theory, the elements and principles of art, composition, and how to create visually strong, intentional artwork.

We’ll also look at artists who use science as inspiration, exploring how observation, curiosity, and experimentation play…
